Melrose Park, IL & Los Angeles, CA - February 9, 2009 - Handy Living announced today that it has inked a multi-year partnership with celebrity designer Angelo Surmelis to create an affordable high-concept furniture line. The new Modern Classics line by angelo:HOME is set to launch this summer.

Modern Classics by angelo:HOME will initially feature chairs, couches, loveseats, and ottomans. The line will debut this summer with retail prices ranging between ($299 - $799). The collection is an affordable take on traditional style, with a fresh, modern approach. All pieces are designed by Surmelis, and follow his belief that great style should not be compromised simply because of budget and the Modern Classics line by angelo:HOME speaks to that.
Angelo Surmelis has been designing furniture for private clients for more than 15 years. He owns one of Los Angeles’ top design firms (www.swell-space.com), where he has worked for some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Surmelis has launched four television design shows, including “Merge” for Lifetime, “Clean Sweep” for TLC, as well as “24 Hour Design” and “Rate My Space with Angelo Surmelis” for HGTV, and has appeared on “My Celebrity Home” for the Style Network, The Tyra Banks Show and CNN.
